Dr. MD Abu Bashar has done MD (Community Medicine) from the prestigious Medical Institute, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research(PGIMER), Chandigarh, India in the year 2016 with institute Silver Medal and Postgraduate Diploma in Geriatric Medicine from IGNOU, New Delhi in 2019. He is an expert epidemiologist and a family Physician and currently works as Assistant Professor of Community Medicine at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Gorakhpur, U.P., India. He has authored more than 200 research articles in national and international peer reviewed indexed scientific journals and his H-index is 24. He has also authored many books and boo chapter in the field of Cancer epidemiology and Prevention, E- Cigarettes, Global Health & Public Health . His research interest includes cancer epidemiology and Prevention, Clinical epidemiology, Geriatric medicine, Geriatric mental health, Primary health care, Health Promotion and health system strengthening. Received in-numerous awards for his exemplary work n research by national and international agencies including WHO, Ford Foundation, UNICEF etc.
