About
Dr Vimlesh Kumar Soni is presently serving as Associate Professor in the Dept of Mechanical Engineering, MANIT Bhopal. He is with MANIT Bhopal for the last 18 years at different positions. He is one of the coordinators of this FDP under ATAL Academy.
He worked as Trainer at Centre for Entrepreneurship Development M P for ten years before joining MANIT Bhopal.
He served at All India Council for Technical Education for three years as Director of Approval Bureau on Deputation from MANIT Bhopal.
Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Entrepreneurship, Work System Design, Ergonomics are some of courses he has been teaching to UG and PG students at MANIT Bhopal.
His research areas include Productivity Improvement Techniques, Performance improvement of Small and Medium Enterprises.
He has, six books, 45 papers in Journals of repute and 27 papers in conference proceeding published, to his credit.
He has supervised six PhD students, 32 M Tech projects and 37 UG projects.
Dr Soni is member with professional bodies such as Institute of Engineers India, Indian Institute of Industrial Engineering. He is fellow member awarded by Indian Institute of Industrial Engineering.
He has visited United Kingdom, United States of America, South Africa to present his research work.
Apart from teaching and research he is actively involved in administrative services of the institute at Institute and Department level. Presently he is Associate Dean (Academics – UG), Associate Dean (Digital Initiatives), Coordinator ED Cell, Dept Coordinator (Examinations), Prof I/c M Tech (Industrial Design), Member in Advisory Committee of MANIT Rolta Incubation Centre Bhopal.
