About
Dr. Suresh Subramoniam is Professor and Director at CET School of Management, College of Engineering, Trivandrum. He had his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Kerala University and Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Louisiana State University in USA. He also holds a Ph.D in Management from Kerala University. He has around 100 papers to his credit published in national and international journals and conferences. He has around thirty years of experience in the area of programme management activities at the Indian Space Research Organization and in teaching at different engineering colleges under the Department of Technical education in the Kerala State apart from teaching assignments at Prince Sultan University in Saudi Arabia and Sohar University in Oman. He has guided several final year MBA projects, M.Tech thesis in Industrial Engineering and has produced Eight PhDs in Management from Kerala University and Bharathiar University.
He has delivered invited talks on various occasions. Fellowship conferred upon him by the Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering for his contributions. He held various roles as Secretary (2000-2005), Vice Chairman (2011-15) and Chairman (2016-19) of the Trivandrum Chapter of the Institution since 2000. He was also instrumental in the creation of two endowment scholarships at College of Engineering, Trivandrum for first rank holder in B Tech and best incoming student for the MTech Programme. Chapter bagged best chapter award three times during his term as Secretary and Chairman. Organizing Secretary for IIIE National Convention in 2004, Organizing Secretary for IIIE-POMS(USA) International Conference at Trivandrum in 2016, Coordinator for Nine fund generating programmes, Co-Chair for HWWE 2018 International Conference in association ISE and International Ergonomics Association (Geneva) with IIIE in 2018. Established two student Chapters at CET Trivandrum and RIT Kottayam He also played prominent role in making IIIE Trivandrum Office a reality.
