About
Dr. Umesh Kumar is an Assistant Professor and Associate Dean, Visiting Faculty & Professor of Practice at SR University, Warangal, and a Multi-Omics and Biomarker Researcher with over 12 years of experience in clinical and translational research. His research focuses on metabolomics, lipidomics, multi-omics integration, biomarker discovery, and precision medicine. He has extensive expertise in NMR spectroscopy (400–800 MHz), LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, and computational analysis using Python, R, MetaboAnalyst, and machine-learning approaches.
He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Metabolomics from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University through the Center of BioMedical Research (CBMR), Lucknow, where he investigated metabolic signatures associated with autoimmune inflammatory diseases. He also gained international postdoctoral research experience at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, where he worked on NMR-based metabolomics and large-scale clinical sample analysis.
His current research interests include disease biomarker discovery, cancer metabolomics, autoimmune diseases, nutritional metabolomics, gut microbiome-related metabolism, and ML-driven multi-omics analysis. He is also interested in interdisciplinary research collaborations and translating omics data into clinically meaningful solutions.
