About
I am working as a Professor in the Department of Fisheries (Aquaculture Branch), Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. I did my PhD in the field of Risk Management and Environmental Sciences from Yokohama National University, Japan. My research emphasis is on antibiotics and AMR risk assessment and management in aquaculture and aquatic environments.
I have several collaboration research works with national and international scientists from different countries like Japan, USA, Australia, and Canada etc. I have more than 50 research articles, published in national and international reputed journals (Science of The Total Environment, Exposure and Health, Chemosphere, Environmental Research, Global Food Security, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, Journal of Water and Health, AMB Express, Biological Trace Element Research, Chemistry and Ecology, Archives of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, Aquaculture Research, Antibiotics, Sustainability etc.).
Currently, I am conducting research at the Molecular Ecology and Health (MECOH) Lab as a JSPS postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Kozo Watanabe, Center for Marine Environmental Studies (CMES), Ehime University, Japan.
My key research interest is the emerging pollutants particularly Antibiotics and AMR contamination in Natural and Aquaculture Environments.
