Dr. Jayarakash Mishra is an Assistant Professor of Cultural Studies and
Anthropology at the School of Liberal Arts in Thapar University, Punjab, India.
His research interests lie at the intersection of Critical Kinship Studies, Gender and
Sexuality, Family and Reproduction, and Popular Culture. He is currently engaged
in the development of his first monograph, tentatively titled 'Intimate Entanglement:
An Ethnography of Gay Men from Small Towns of India', which is grounded in his
doctoral research. In addition, he serves as the co-chair for the European Network
of Queer Anthropology under the European Association of Social Anthropologists
(EASA) and derives pleasure from listening to the narratives of others.
