About
Yusen Liu, PhD, is a Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Liu received his PhD from Hiroshima University, and did his postdoctoral training in NIH. He then worked as a Investigator in the National Institute on Aging-Intramural Research Program. In 2003 he transferred to Nationwide Children's Hospital. His interest is in the area of signal transduction during infection and inflammation. Dr. Liu’s NIH-funded research program focuses on the role of MAP kinase phosphatases in host defense against microbial infection. His research has established MAP kinase phosphatase (MKP)-1 as one of the most important negative regulators of inflammation and a potential target for a variety of inflammatory diseases.
