Currently working as a professor in the field of food Science and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka. completed MSc in Plant Biotechnology from the postgraduate Institute of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka and completed second MSc degree in Bioscinece and biotechnology in the University of The Ryukyus, Okinawa Japan. Completed PhD in the field of food Enzymolgy in 2010 from the united graduate School in Agriculture, Kagoshima University, Japan. Isolation of active compounds, Molecular structural analysis, Crystallography, enzyme technology, Biochemistry and food product development and analysis are the proffered areas for research.
