Dr. M. Sankareswaran, Head, Department of Microbiology, Muthyammal College of Arts and Science (Autonomous) Rasipuram, Namakkal (DT), Tamilnadu, India. Graduated B.Sc. Microbiology in Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, and M.Sc Applied Microbiology in Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore, M.Phil Microbiology in Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore, and furthering my PhD research programme in Periyar University, Salem. Received Prof.Dr.P.Rajendran’s “Yong Scientist Award 2015” by IAAM and “Dr.APJ.Abdul Kalam Award for Young Scientists Award 2018” from Marina Lab Chennai. I have a Life membership in the Indian Association of Applied Microbiologists (IAAM) and a Life membership in the Indian Association of Biomedical Scientists (IABMS). Acquired significant research experience in diverse areas of Microbiology and immunology with a major research focus on herbal products, specifically on the pharmacological action of bioactive compounds, anti-retroviral treatment for HIV, antibacterial property of South Indian medicinal herbs, nano-drug delivery system, etc. I have a keen interest in designing and implementing knowledge-sharing platforms to benefit the scientific community, faculty, scholars, and students.
