Prof. Geeta Bhatt is at present Director, Non Collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB) . NCWEB is a unique Institution which was established in 1944 under University of Delhi to educate girls who come from marginalised socio economic background. At present, there are more than 32,000 girls studying under NCWEB. She has been a Member of the Academic Council of the University of Delhi for two terms. She has been nominated as the Member of the Expert Group , Implementation Plan for National Education Policy 2020 by University Grants Commission. She is UGC Nominee on the Governing Body of many colleges and Member in various committees of University Grants Commission. She is at present Member, Advisory Committee, National Commission for Women.

She has undertaken women studies of the Minority Community. She was Editor-in- Chief of a book on minority women which was quoted by the Law Minister when the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act was tabled in the Parliament. She has done her Ph.D from Mumbai University and M.Phil from University of Delhi. She has worked in the area of semiconductor thin films using low energy implantation. At present her area of research are integrated optics and sensors, Electronic Waste, Organic Photovoltaics. She also has keen interest in Higher Education and related policies and Gender Studies and has been contributing scholarly articles in these fields. She has authored two books and edited three books. She has also written many research papers as well as popular articles. She is also a TV Panelist representing Nationalist ideology. She received the Meritorious Teacher’s Award from the Delhi Government in 2014. She is recipient of Guru Dronacharya Award from Shri Narayan Sanskritik Chetna Nyas, New Delhi in 2018 and Prerna -Pratibha Samman (Award) from Saksham Welfare Trust , Uttar Pradesh in 2019. She was awarded the ‘Woman of Substance Award ‘ by Mother Teresa University in 2022. She was felicitated with ‘Sashakt Mahila Samman’ by Bharat Vikas Parishad on the 60th Foundation Day Program in 2022. Prof. Bhatt has been awarded with ‘ Sanskriti Bhagirathi ‘ in the International Vidushi Sammelan organised by Sanskrit Sanskriti Vikas Sansthan in 2023.
