About

Sujata Banerjee received her degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from India, an MBA from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, and a PhD from LUISS University in Rome, Italy. Between 2006 and 2010, she was employed by the U.S.-based multinational firm Cognizant Technology Solutions, where she earned several professional accolades.
She was awarded international scholarships to pursue both her MBA and PhD, and received national merit certificates for academic excellence in her 10th and 12th grades. Prior to joining BIT Lalpur (Unit), she served as an Assistant Professor with the Techno India Group.
Her research focuses on corporate governance, particularly on board structures, ownership models, and family-owned businesses in emerging markets. She has published research in ABDC-listed journals as well as in Scopus and UGC Care-indexed journals. She has presented her work at prestigious international conferences such as the Academy of Management and EURAM (European Academy of Management). Additionally, she serves as a Reviewer for major academic publishers like Wiley and Springer, and reviews for international conferences.
