About
Dr. Sachin Ranjan is a microbiologist specializing in molecular biology, aging biology, and neurodegenerative disease research. His work focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of aging and neuroprotection using Caenorhabditis elegans and mammalian models. His doctoral research investigated the anti-aging and neuroprotective potential of the phytomolecule bakuchiol, exploring its role in oxidative stress regulation, proteostasis and longevity pathways.
Dr. Ranjan has extensive experience in molecular genetics, translational biomedical research, infectious disease diagnostics and laboratory biosafety operations in BSL-2 and BSL-3 environments. He has contributed to multiple research projects funded by national agencies including ICMR, CSIR and ICAR.
His research integrates molecular techniques, model organism biology, and translational approaches to investigate aging, neurodegeneration, and disease mechanisms. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications in international journals and has actively participated in scientific conferences and workshops.
