About
I'm an environmental bio-technologist working on the air quality research. My broad research areas are, 'Aerosol instrumentation' , 'Aerosol in materials', 'Aerosol in medicine' and 'Bioaerosol detection'. As a team at Clarkson University, we are trying to develop aerosol based targeted therapy for the tuberculosis disease. Simultaneously, we are addressing the issue of ‘hospital acquired infections’, using a novel, low-cost, handy, bioaerosol collector and aerosol sensor called ‘TRAC-B, a project that is funded by NSF SBIR’.This commercial-off-the-shelf device was built by our team in association with the start-up POTSDAM SENSORS (https://www.potsdamsensors.com/). Besides research, writing and voracious reading, keeps me buoyant..! Find my science and non-science blogs at http://the-dna-lady.com/
