About

Dr. Yogesh endeavours to guide his students to channelize their innovation towards making a sustainable transformation in the world around them. With a decade of experience in the domains of Biotechnology, Botany, Medicinal Plants, Naturopathy, Fermentation, Oils, Essential Oils & Research.

He brings to the table a fusion of scientific inquisitiveness, knowledge & innovation. Dr. Yogesh has 10+ international & national research publications including his article on ‘Chemical Composition of Essential Oil of Madhuca longifolia var. latifolia (Roxb.) A. Chev. Flowers’ (2022) which was published in the Journal of Essential OilBearing Plants. This also includes his research paper ‘Morphophysiological Seed Variability in Mahua Trees from Western Ghats and Its Impact on Tribal Life’ (2021) which was published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences & his book chapter ‘Hydroponic Cultivation Approaches to Enhance the Contents of the Secondary Metabolites in Plants’ (2021) published in Biotechnological Approaches to Enhance Plant Secondary Metabolites: Recent Trend Future Prospects. Considering his knowledge & research background, he was awarded the Editorial Membership for the ‘International Journal of Botany Studies’.

As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Yoga & Naturopathy at Vishwakarma University, Dr. Yogesh has taken up several administrative responsibilities along with his academic duties. He is a member of Research Cell & VU- IQUBE where he handles patent formatting & filing. He oversees all the operations related to research software's, technical support as the Research Coordinator. Dr. Yogesh has been coordinating with 150+ students to complete their Ph.D. projects.

After successfully qualifying for the M.Sc Biotechnology and ICAR-SRF examination, Dr. Yogesh completed his Ph.D. in Botany. He has also served as an Assistant Professor at Biotechnology Department, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) Pune and Technical Officer under RCFC-WR, Ministry of AYUSH in SPPU.

With his belief that upskilling is important for individual growth, Dr. Yogesh has also been a part of several conferences, workshops & FDPs including lecture series. Dr. Yogesh makes conscious efforts to find developmental strategies & upskill himself. He continues to follow his passion for learning & research with several new research papers in the pipeline.
