About
Prittesh is a Graduate Researcher in the Biomedical Engineering program at Oregon Health & Science University, pursuing his second doctoral degree. He previously earned a PhD in Biotechnology from Uka Tarsadia University, India, where his research focused on the molecular and pathological diversity of the sugarcane red rot pathogen Colletotrichum falcatum. This work built a strong foundation in molecular biology, proteomics, and host–pathogen interactions.
Leveraging his interdisciplinary expertise, Prittesh transitioned into cancer research with an emphasis on translational therapeutics. He joined Dr. Malhotra’s laboratory at the Center for Experimental Therapeutics, where his current work focuses on dissecting the molecular mechanisms that drive cancer progression and identifying innovative therapeutic targets. His long-term goal is to advance precision oncology by developing mechanism-guided strategies that improve outcomes for patients with aggressive tumors.
