About

Dr. Syed Muzamil Basha (SM Basha) completed his Ph.D. degree (Full Time) in the School of computer science and engineering from the VIT (Deemed by the university), Vellore, India. He is having 15 years of teaching cum research experience. He has 2-Years of Post Doc Experience from University of Hail, KSA. Currently working as Professor in School of Computer Science and Engineering, REVA University, Bangalore, Karnataka. India. His current research interests include Big Data Analytics, Block Chain Management, Internet of Things. He is currently guiding 3 PhD scholars in different area of research related to computer science. Three scholar are awarded with PhD under his Supervision as on 2025. He is listed as 3rd Best Scientists in REVA University (AD Scientific Index 2024). He has 64+ Scopus publications, which includes 12 SCI Publications with a Cumulative Impact Factor 35, 13 Journal publications and 13 - International conference publications, 6-Book Chapters, 2-Letters. He published 15- textbooks with reputed International (IGI Global) and National publishers. He is Acting as Advisory Board Member, BOS and BOE Member for various institutes from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu. He acted as speaker in Guest Lecture across various Engineering Colleges in India. He is acting as Conference chair for one IEEE Conference, International Conference on Intelligent Data Communication Technologies and Internet of Things (IDCIoT) and two Springer Conferences (International Conference on IoT Based Control Networks (ICICNIS) and Intelligent Systems and International Conference on Innovations in Cybersecurity and Data Science(ICICDS)). He is currently acting as Publicity chair for 6th World Symposium on Software Engineering (WSSE 2024) Tokyo Japan. He is an Executive editor of the journal computational Learning & Intelligence. He Received “Out Standing Faculty” Award by RAMFOO Academic Awards 2023. Received “young researcher award” by Computer Vision, High Performance Computing, Smart Devices and Networks (CHSN-2022). He received Award for this contribution towards the Quality publications in the year 2018 from VIT. He is a senior member of IEEE and Life time Member of ISTE & IOASD.
