About
I pursued my PhD degree within Computational Fluid Dynamics from the Mathematics department of Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur-India, the best in India according to the times higher education. I have worked on numerical modeling and software development, OpenGeoSys, for Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical-Chemical coupled processes in porous and fractured media for several years as a Staff Scientist at the Helmholtz-Centre for Environmental Research –UFZ Germany. I am an Associate Editor-AE, Computational Geosciences - Journal of Environmental Earth Science. Currently, as an Assistant professor I am teaching to master and bachelor students and researching on different energy storage technology and geothermal energy. I am proficient in numerical modeling and simulation and founded a numerical simulator, Finite Element Energy Simulator-FEES. The Finite Element Energy Simulator is a scientific, C++ source code project is being developed for mathematical modeling and numerical methods at Center for Energy Informatics, the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Institute of the Southern Denmark University. Principally, it's relevant for numerical simulation of problems related to energy to forecast the performance with following characteristics
a. The mathematical modeling of the FEES is based on multi-phase and multi-componential fluid flow with heat transport and mechanical deformation.
b. Solves laws for mass, momentum and energy conservation with all possible interactions
For high-performance computing, PETSc algorithm has been implemented.
c. The management of this software by SVN and integrated page with having number of convenient ways to stay on top of events and changes
Its implementation is based on Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concept that uses information and communication technology for developing ICT-centred solutions and serves as a research tool for research fields, such as Geotechnics, Renewable energy, and Energy storage.
