About
Carla Raffaelli is Associate Professor at the University of Bologna. She received her M.Sc. and Ph.D degrees in electronic and computer engineering (University of Bologna, Italy), in 1985 and 1990, respectively. Her research interests include performance analysis of telecommunication networks, switch architectures, optical networks and 5G networks. She actively participated in many National and International research projects, such as the EU funded ACTS-KEOPS, the IST-DAVID, the e-photon/One and BONE networks of excellence. She is author or co-author of more than 150 conference and journal papers mainly in the field of optical networking and network performance evaluation. She regularly acts as a reviewer for top international conferences and journals. She served as Technical Program Committee member in several Top International Conferences, like ICC and ONDM, and served as Technical Program Committee co-Chair in ONDM 2011. Since October 2013 she is a member of the editorial board of the journal Photonic Network Communications by Springer. She is IEEE Senior Member of IEEE. She is the Director of the International Telecommunications Engineering Master’s Degree at the University of Bologna, Italy.
