About
Dr. D. Sundar Ram is the Director of the Academy of Grassroots Studies and Research of India (AGRASRI), a Grant-in-Aid Registered Research Organisation of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. Dr. Sundar Ram obtained his M.A. Degree in Political Science; B.Ed. Degree in English and Social Studies; Ph. D. Degree in Political Science and Public Administration and Diploma in Public Administration from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India. Dr. Sundar Ram has completed his Post-Doctoral Research work in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, in the years 1991-1995. Later, he worked as Reader and Head, PG Department of Public Administration at the SS&N College PG Centre (Afffiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University), and Senior Faculty Member and UGC Co-ordinator at the PNC & KR Degree and PG College (Acharya Nagarjuna University), Narasaraopet, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, in the years 1995-2004.
After his voluntary retirement, he has founded the Academy of Grassroots Studies and Research of India (AGRASRI) and working in the Academy as Director since 2004 to date. He is the Editor of The Grassroots Governance Journal (ISSN: 0973-0257), Bi-annual research publication of the AGRASRI since 2004. Dr. Sundar Ram is the Consulting Editor of the American Biographical Institute, USA and Chief Organiser of the Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Lecture and Chittoor District Formation Day Lecture. He is a prolific author and writer and published 23 Research Books, 39 Chapters in Edited Books, 23 Papers in Research Journals, 28 Papers presented in the National and International Conferences/Seminars, 74 articles published in Telugu News Papers and Journals and 33 talks delivered in All India Radio. Dr. Sundar Ram is the Invited Resource Person by many reputed Universities, Government Institutions and Research Organisations in India.
Dr. D. Sundar Ram has worked as ICSSR Senior Fellow at Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, from 2017 February to 2019 January.
