About
I am an Environmental Scientist specializing in Landscape Ecology, Remote Sensing, GIS, Climate Change, and Biodiversity Conservation, with over a decade of experience applying geospatial technologies to understand and manage complex environmental systems.
My research focuses on the assessment of forest ecosystem dynamics, habitat fragmentation, climate vulnerability, biodiversity conservation, and landscape-level planning using satellite remote sensing, GIS, spatial analysis, and ecological modelling. I am particularly interested in translating geospatial science into practical solutions that support conservation planning, ecosystem restoration, climate adaptation, and sustainable natural resource management.
Throughout my career, I have contributed to multidisciplinary research projects on climate change impacts, greenhouse gas inventories, conservation prioritization, wildlife habitat assessment, and integrated landscape management. My work has supported national and regional initiatives by producing spatial decision-support tools, geospatial databases, thematic maps, and scientific evidence for environmental planning.
I have authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications in journals including Climate Risk Management, Environmental Management, Land, Journal of the Indian Society of Remote Sensing, and Applied Ecology and Environmental Research. My research combines scientific rigor with practical applications to address real-world environmental challenges.
Beyond research, I enjoy mentoring students, delivering lectures and technical training, and collaborating with researchers, government agencies, and conservation organizations. I am committed to interdisciplinary research that bridges ecology, geospatial technologies, and policy for resilient and sustainable landscapes.
