About

I am an Epidemiologist, currently serving as the Senior Research Officer and "Head of the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health" at the National Institute of TB and Respiratory Diseases, Delhi, India. With over three decades of experience specializing in Tuberculosis, I spearhead the implementation the National TB Elimination program.

As an experienced professional in the field, I hold the role of “National trainer” for both domestic and international faculties on Tuberculosis (TB) and Drug-Resistant TB (DR-TB). Additionally, I Head the Department of Training, overseeing the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs.

In my capacity as the Nodal Officer for DR-TB activities and TB-ECHO initiatives, I am deeply committed to leading efforts to combat Drug-Resistant TB. I have been instrumental in pioneering the adoption of digital training methodologies, utilizing platforms such as ECHO (Zoom), to disseminate crucial knowledge on TB and DR-TB throughout the country. These initiatives have been ongoing for over eight years, contributing significantly to capacity building and knowledge dissemination.

Furthermore, my dedication to advancing the field of TB is evidenced by my extensive contributions to reputable National and International Journals. Through my research endeavors and training expertise, I remain steadfast in my commitment to driving progress in TB prevention and treatment strategies, ultimately striving to make a profound and lasting impact on public health.
