About

I am Dr. Niraj K. Nagrale, a senior academician and researcher with over 27 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. I hold a Doctorate (PhD) along with two Master’s degrees—M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering and M.Tech in Energy Management System—and I am currently serving as an Assistant Professor at G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur, India. My teaching experience covers a broad range of core and advanced subjects, including Digital Signal Processing, Digital Communication, Antennas and Wave Propagation, Neural Networks and Fuzzy Logic, Soft Computing, and Machine Learning.

My PhD research focused on the design and development of robust deep learning–based frameworks for intelligent image analysis, with specific emphasis on crowd analysis and biometric recognition using surveillance data. I am the author of the book “Crowd Analysis Using Deep Neural Networks to Analyze Images from CCTV Cameras”, published by Lambert Academic Publishing. My research interests broadly encompass artificial intelligence, deep learning, machine learning, signal and image processing, and biometric systems, with a particular focus on intelligent recognition and decision-making systems.

I have published my research work in international journals and IEEE conference proceedings and have actively contributed to interdisciplinary research activities. I have delivered invited talks and seminars at academic forums and participated in national and international conferences related to artificial intelligence, security, and intelligent systems. My academic and research experience enables me to bridge foundational theory with emerging architectures and future research directions, particularly in the context of AI-driven engineering and scientific applications.
