About
Dr. Rajat Kumar Keshari is an Institute Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur, India. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from IIT (BHU) Varanasi, where his research focused on transformerless multi-output power converter topologies for solar photovoltaic applications, with emphasis on reduced leakage current, improved efficiency, and compact converter design.
His research interests include power electronics, renewable energy integration, grid-connected converters, DC microgrids, electric vehicle charging, energy storage systems, multilevel converters, wide-bandgap semiconductor-based power converters, and intelligent energy management. His current research also explores advanced control, Digital Twin technologies, and intelligent monitoring for renewable-energy and power-electronic systems.
He has authored four IEEE journal publications along with several international conference papers and has filed two Indian patents based on his research and technology development. His work spans both academic and industry-oriented projects involving power converter design, renewable-energy integration, battery energy storage, and smart energy management systems.
He is also actively involved in IEEE professional activities and currently serves as Treasurer of the IEEE UP Section PES Chapter and Finance Chair of IEEE UPCON 2026.
