R.Manikandan has received his B.E. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Bharathidhasan University, Tiruchirappalli, India, in 2003 and received his M.E. in VLSI Design from Anna University, Chennai, India, in 2008.He is currently working towards his Ph.D. degree in power electronics in the department of electrical engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, India. His research interests include fault diagnosis, remain useful lifetime (RUL) estimation of power electronics converters, thermal management and condition monitoring of IGBT power modules in electrical drive applications
