About

Prof.Dr.Suresh Sundaramurthy is a Faculty & Head of Department, Chemical Engineering, Maulana Azad-National Institute of Technology (MANIT) Bhopal, India. He has received Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. Prof. Suresh was the recipient of Post Doctoral Fellow awarded by IUSSTF, Govt. of India and that time, he was associated at The City University of New York (CUNY), USA. He was also the recipient of Visiting Faculty and Researcher awarded by Govt. of India. During this award, he has deputed to Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Thailand and International Centre for Materials Science (JNCASR) Bengaluru, India. He has also worked at Pondicherry University, and Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. He has world’s Top 2% most cited scientist by Stanford University and Elsevier survey assessment.

More than 16 years’ experience for teaching/research from MA-NIT Bhopal, Pondicherry University, IIT-Kanpur, ICMS-JNCASR, Bangalore, AIT-Thailand and CUNY-USA. He has invited for industrial & technical skill certificate training on Urea Stripping, Fermentation Technology, Process Safety and Environment (Air, Water and Solid)–Fundamentals and Management, Waste-to-Energy, OSHA Laboratory Safety Standards, Solving challenges of chemistry through analysis, Urban Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience and Chemical Safety & Security from Indo-Gulf Fertilizers Pvt Ltd (India), SKOL Breweries Pvt Ltd (India), Indian Chemical Society (India), Zhejiang University (China), Office of Environmental Health and Occupational Safety (USA), IIT Kanpur (India), USAID Adapt Asia-Pacific (Thailand) and National Association for Chemical Security (India). He has invited as International Expert Member from Seoul National University (South Korea) & National Research Foundation (University of Cape Town, South Africa). He has been serving as a Distinguished/Technical Expert to AICTE, BIS, WTLClean & Renewable Energy Pvt Ltd (USA & India), Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board, Urban Administration and Development, Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited. He has hosted and lead different technical conferences/webinars including an international webinar on ‘CO2 Reduction Processes for Future Energy Development’ involving participation from different industry experts with emphasis on conversion of CO2 into value added products, coal gasification and H2 as the source for future energy.

He has supervised 09 PhD students, 68 MTech/MSc/MDS students, 280 BTech/project students and few students along with co-supervisors. Total number of Research Journal publications are more than130 in the area of Catalysts, Reactor Design, Environmental Biotechnology, Waste-to-Energy, Nanoengineered Materials, Biofuels and intermediates from CO2 and Biomass, Green Hydrogen, Decarbonization and Energy Transition, Technical Textiles, Gas separation, Air Pollution Abatement, Sensing of toxic gases, Process
Safety & Disaster Management and more than 76 presentation/proceedings and few with co-authored. He has total 16 R&D and 12 Consultancy projects undertaken, in which 10 from different Govt. agencies & public sectors. In addition to this credential, he has published & granted 05 Indian patents and 04 is under processing, 01 technology synchronized. He has published 15 International books and more than 33 international book chapters and 06 conference proceedings. His book published from Elsevier
(ScienceDirect), Taylor & Francis (CRC Press), Springer, Encyclopedia-John Wiley & Sons publishers.

He has awarded and conducted 17 seminar/workshop, 13 faculty development program, 16 National & International conference in collaborations with National Mission on Education through ICT (MoE, Govt. of India) & IIT Bombay, SCHEMCON-2021 (IIChE, Kolkata), CIPET Bhopal and GIAN course (IIT Kharagpur), WeenTech, UK, SusTanCon, USA. He has serving Editorial Board Member of Scientific Reports Journal (Nature Portfolio, Springer). He has Guest Edited Special Issues in Springer & Elsevier (ScienceDirect): Environmental Science and Pollution Research & Carbon Capture Science and Technology. He has honour in several professional members, Fellow member of Society of Energy Engineers and Managers & The Institution of Engineers (India).

In recognition of his research contributions, he has received a number of awards and honours including National Innovation-Rashtrapati Bhavan, office of the President of India, Young Scientist Award; Visiting Research Fellowship; Prof R C Singh Medal and IEI Young Engineers Award. He has invited for special lectures at National and International platform at USA, Singapore, UAE, Thailand, Malaysia. He has also nominated as expert member in the different organizations such as National Clean Air Programme of MoEF&CC, GoI, MPCST, CSIR-AMPRI, CIAE Bhopal, M.P. Animal & Poultry Development Corporation, RGPV State Technical University, Ujjain Engg. College and few others.
