About
I am a seasoned educator and researcher with over 15 years of professional experience in materials and manufacturing. I hold a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, where my research focused on magnesium composites for lightweight tribological applications. My academic journey began with an undergraduate degree from Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology and a postgraduate degree from National Engineering College. My passion for research led me to earn a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University.
I have completed my Postdoctoral Research in the Department of Materials and Production Engineering at TGGS–Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, Thailand, where my research focused on surface engineering, particularly thermal spray coatings. I am working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous), near Virudhunagar, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. In this role, I educate and mentor mechanical engineering and materials science students.
My expertise lies in materials and manufacturing, and I have a keen understanding of characterization. My research interests include composite materials (both metal and polymer), powder metallurgy, and its tribological characterization. With over 50 publications, including a book chapter in international journals, my work has garnered over 2000 citations.
I am an active reviewer for prestigious international publications such as Elsevier, Springer, and IOP, and I have been honored with two Publon reviewer awards and a Best Reviewer Award. Additionally, I serve as an International Advisory Committee Member for the Journal of Materials Research Express.
I am keenly interested in material science and am open to suitable opportunities in this field. I am eager to learn and work in new research areas and welcome collaboration from interested researchers.
