About
Dr. Goutam Thakur is presently a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India. He received his bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Master’s in Biomedical Engineering (Jadavpur University, India) and earned PhD in Medical Science and Technology from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. He has worked both in industry and in academia. He was an International Visiting Research fellow at Ryerson University, Canada (2008-2009). He has presented paper in some prestigious International conferences abroad and earned accolades. He has been honoured with European Doctoral Award (2012) and Rudolph Cimdin Award (2009) by European Society of Biomaterials and was also nominated for Young Investigator Award at ISOMRM-2010, Taiwan. He has peer-reviewed international published articles to his credit.
