About

I have joined IIESTS in April 2019. Prior to that, I was working as a researcher for one year and six months with Research Center for Aircraft Core Technology, Gyeongsang National University, South Korea. I did my Ph.D. from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Gyeongsang National University, South Korea. During my Ph.D., I studied fluid dynamics theories, mathematical modeling of droplet physics and atmospheric icing physics, numerical modeling of various partial differential equations (PDE), parallel computation, and various applications on aircraft. In particular, I focused on the mathematical modeling of supercooled large droplet impingement behavior and ice accretion on the aircraft surface. Further, my research was expanded to the simulation of high-speed flows and rarefied gas dynamics. Moreover, a few of my research was focused on the implementation of parallel computation for the Discontinuous Galerkin Method (DGM) and FVM. My research interests are in the broad areas of mathematical modeling and simulation applied to the field of fluid dynamics, multiphase flow, heat transfer, icing physics, hypersonic flows, and parallel computation.
