I am a cancer researcher by choice, losing my beloved father due to cancer. Currently, I am a Tenured Associate Professor at the University of South Alabama and focused on translational cancer research aiming towards liquid biomarker development for early cancer detection, monitoring and guiding therapeutics. Earlier, I received training in mitochondrial genomics and biology in the laboratory of Dr. David Sidransky, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
