About
I am Md Naseem Ahamad, a PhD scholar in Civil Engineering at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad (MNNIT Allahabad), Prayagraj, India, where I also completed my B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees. My research focuses on geotechnical earthquake engineering, particularly seismic hazard assessment, soil liquefaction, probabilistic liquefaction hazard analysis, seismic site characterization, and site response analysis. I am especially interested in integrating geotechnical and geophysical investigations with deterministic and probabilistic approaches to evaluate earthquake-induced hazards in alluvial regions, with particular emphasis on the Indo-Gangetic Basin. My broader research interests include shear-wave velocity characterization, liquefaction hazard mapping, lateral spreading, and seismic ground-improvement techniques.
