About
I have awarded my Ph.D. on 24.09. 2021 in the Life Science (Pharmaceutical Sciences) at CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Lucknow, from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, under the supervision of Dr. Sudeep Tandon. In doctoral research, I have worked on “Chemical investigation and bio evaluation of Zanthoxylum armatum DC. and Cuscuta reflexa Roxb.” at the interface of organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry and molecular biology to isolate develop potential anticancer agents. I have worked as DST Woman Scientist-A to carry out research on “Chemical investigation of bioactive molecules of Cuscuta species and its antiproliferative activity against human cancer cells line” funded by Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, and Project Assistant-II in “Chemical investigation of Zanthoxylum armatum (Timoor) for identification & isolation of potent biologically active molecules funded by National Medicinal Plant Board, New Delhi, India”. I have a full-time dedication in chemical, medicinal and pharmaceutical sciences with special emphasis on rational drug design and discovery based on synthetic organic chemistry using new eco-friendly synthetic methods, spectroscopic analysis, In silico, in vitro and In vivo pharmacological screening of novel lead molecules. My interest area is to contribute novel therapeutics in anti-cancer, anti-diabetic, anti-dyslipidemic and cardiovascular drug design and discovery. To discover the novel molecules and their pharmacological Screening at molecular levels by applying data-based mathematical modeling over them to discover novel drug delivery system of new molecules is my thrust area of research.
Furthermore, I was regularly involved in the design of new research projects, independent handling of projects, instructing masters and graduate students in laboratory techniques, and set-up new experiments. I have also worked with other lab fellows for troubleshooting of their projects and the manuscript writing, as well as successfully written grant proposals for external funding. I am the principal and co-author of more than 10 research publications in various peer-reviewed scientific journals {for details please refer my CV attached with this cover letter}. Lastly, I am highly interested to learn other methodologies, tools and techniques as per the requirement of your lab and specific research interests when get a chance.
