Professor Anupam Dewan has been working at Department of Applied Mechanics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi since 2009. He earlier served as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Guwahati from 1997 to 2009. He holds a Ph.D. (1996) and M.E. (1991) from Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru in Mechanical Engineering and B.Sc. (Mech. Engg., 1989) from NIT (formerly REC) Kurukshetra. He is listed among top 2% researchers worldwide for (a) careers for two years 2023 and 2022 and (b) three single years 2023, 2022 and 2021 impacts published by Elsevier. He has authored the book "Tackling Turbulent Flows in Engineering" published by Springer, Germany in the year 2011.
