Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal, University at Buffalo - The State University of New York, Indian Institute of Technology Madras
About
Dr. Bharathwaj Sathyamoorthy received his B.Sc. from University of Madras (2005, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College) and M.Sc. from Indian Institute of Technology Madras (2007) in Chemistry. He pursued his Ph.D. under the guidance of Prof. Thomas Szyperski (State University of New York at Buffalo, 2013) in development and application of solution-state NMR spectroscopic techniques towards biomolecular characterization. He continued his postdoctoral research with Prof. Hashim M. Al-Hashim (University of Michigan followed by Duke University) in understanding nucleic acids structure and dynamics. He started his independent research at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal (IISERB) from 2015 and is focusing on developing novel NMR methods towards characterizing structure of DNA with non-canonical nucleotides and non-duplex topologies.
