About
Dr. Virendra Kumar is currently a Professor in the Department NMR, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He received M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT-Roorkee) and Ph.D. from AIIMS, New Delhi for work on MR studies of prostate cancer. For his doctoral research work, he was awarded Gold Medal in 2007 by the Institute. He continued advanced training as a postdoctoral fellow in Department of Cancer Imaging and Metabolism, H Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, Tampa, FL, USA and joined as Assistant Professor at AIIMS, New Delhi in 2012. Dr. Kumar is applying Radiomics, NMR metabolomics and in vivo MR methods to understand the different metabolic changes in cancer and their potential diagnostic role.
