About
I have completed my Ph.D. in Bioinformatics. My area of research are Structure Based Drug Designing/Discovery (SBDD), Immunoinformatics based Vaccine Development, Machine Learning and NGS Data analysis. During my Ph.D. I used computational methods to explore novel drugs using comparative modeling, docking/virtual screening ligand libraries and MD simulation studies against Leishmania donovani. I applied in silico and in vitro methods to identify new inhibitor (Z220582104) against LdPPDK enzyme. Similarly, ML-240 drug was identified against APX enzyme of Leishmania which showed significant antileishmanial activity. Therapy with ML-240 against established L. donovani infection in experimental animals (BALB/c) showed significant reduction in parasite burden. Histopathological alterations were also observed using hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining. Microscopic observation of inflammatory infiltrates in the periportal areas of liver sections was also performed. As evidenced by my publications and presentations of work at national and international conferences, I have good problem-solving skills and can work as part of an interdisciplinary team and contribute significantly. I have expertise in establishing research plans and managing projects both individually and collaboratively. I've also guided several student's M.Sc/M.Tech dissertations.
