About
Dr. Ajay Pratap Singh received M.Sc. (Tech) in Geophysics from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, and obtained his Ph.D. in Applied Geophysics (Seismology) from Kurukshetra University, Haryana. Presently, Dr. Singh is working as a Scientist ‘F’ at the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India. Dr. Singh's principal research areas include Earthquake Tomography, Seismology, Site Response Analysis, Rupture Modeling, and Tsunami Modeling. He serves on the Editorial Board of Geomatics, Natural Hazards and Risk (Impact Factor 4.5), published by Taylor & Francis, United Kingdom.
He is the recipient (s) of the Young Scientist Awards in 2014 and 2019 from the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), DST, India, and the IGU-Anni Talwani Memorial Glod Medal in 2024. He is credited with more than 95 research articles in leading national and international journals (Google Scholar Citations: 1784, h-index: 26 and iindex:52)
Dr. Singh has supervised four Ph.D. guided and is currently guiding three Ph.D. students. In addition, he has mentored 20 postgraduate students pursuing M.Tech, M.Sc. (Tech), and M.Sc. degrees.
