# Profile

I am Dr. D. Dhanasekar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Management at Shrimati Indira Gandhi College, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. I completed my Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Jamal Mohamed College, Tiruchirappalli, and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Bharathidasan University. Subsequently, I earned my Ph.D. in Management from Bharathidasan University in 2024. My academic and research journey has been driven by a strong interest in finance, sustainability, corporate governance, and responsible business practices.

My areas of expertise include Finance, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Corporate Social Performance (CSP), Corporate Financial Performance (CFP), Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices, Sustainable Development, Intellectual Capital, and Financial Technology. Through my teaching and research activities, I strive to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry requirements by promoting innovative and practical learning experiences among students.

Before joining Shrimati Indira Gandhi College as an Assistant Professor, I served as a Research Scholar at Bharathidasan University from 2017 to 2024. During this period, I was actively involved in advanced research projects, academic publications, conference presentations, and collaborative studies. My doctoral research focused on examining the relationship between corporate social performance and financial performance, an area that continues to inspire my ongoing research activities.

Over the years, I have published **28 research articles** in reputed national and international journals, conference proceedings, and edited volumes. My research contributions cover diverse areas such as Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Social Performance, Corporate Financial Performance, ESG practices, Sustainable Finance, Socially Responsible Investing, Intellectual Capital, Banking Performance, Stock Market Analysis, Financial Inclusion, Exchange Rate Dynamics, and Corporate Governance. My publications have appeared in recognized journals including the *Journal of International Finance and Economics*, *Academy of Strategic Management Journal*, *Journal of Academy of Business and Economics*, *International Journal of Financial Management*, and several other reputed journals. Through these scholarly contributions, I have sought to advance knowledge in management and finance while providing practical insights for researchers, academicians, policymakers, and industry practitioners.

I have also actively participated in innovation and intellectual property development. As an inventor and co-inventor, I have contributed to **seven published patents** in emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Financial Technology (FinTech), Investment Decision-Making, Stock Market Prediction, Digital Financial Literacy, Social Media Analytics, and Talent Management Systems. These innovations reflect my commitment to applying research findings to practical business and societal challenges while fostering technology-driven solutions in management and finance.

In recognition of my academic and professional contributions, I received the **Shri P. K. Das Memorial Best Faculty Award (Junior Category) in 2025**. This prestigious award acknowledged my achievements in teaching, research, and academic excellence. I was also honoured by the **Honorable Governor of Tamil Nadu** for my contribution to a Special Research Project on the life and achievements of Thiru A.R. Ruthirapathi, a National Freedom Fighter from Tamil Nadu. These recognitions have motivated me to continue pursuing impactful research and quality education.

Apart from teaching and research, I actively contribute to academic administration and institutional development. I serve as a member of the Library Committee and participate in various academic and professional activities aimed at enhancing educational quality and research culture. I regularly attend and present papers at national and international conferences, workshops, faculty development programmes, and seminars to remain updated with emerging trends and developments in management and finance.

My research interests are interdisciplinary in nature, integrating finance, sustainability, technology, and strategic management. I am particularly interested in understanding how organizations can achieve financial success while maintaining social responsibility and environmental sustainability. I strongly believe that responsible business practices, ethical governance, and innovation are essential for sustainable economic growth and long-term organizational success.

As an educator and researcher, my goal is to contribute meaningfully to management education by nurturing future leaders, encouraging critical thinking, and promoting evidence-based decision-making. I remain committed to advancing research in finance and sustainability while supporting the academic and professional development
