Venkatramanan K, PhD, LF-USI, LM-ASI has been working as full time Professor of Physics, and Dean (Faculty of Science) at SCSVMV Deemed University, Kanchipuram, India with 26 years of experience.. He is also the Director of Student Cultural Affairs and Programmes of SCSVMV. He was a Research fellow at the department of Materials Science & Engineering, City University of Hongkong (CityU) and at School of Science & Technology, HongKong Metropolitan University (HKMU). He is a life fellow of Ultrasonic Society of India [USI] and Acoustical Society of India [ASI] and Senior member of SCIEI. He is also the executive council member of Thermophysical Society of India [TPSI]. He has acted as reviewer for many international journals ( Springer, RSC, Elsevier, T&F) and has organised many national and international conferences. He is the editor of few international conference proceedings and has authored three text books in Physics for engineering students. He was the Chairman of Board of studies in Physics of SCSVMV Deemed University, member of Academic council, Planning and Monitoring board of SCSVMV. He is also a member of Executive Council of SCSVMV. He has completed three projects on population education funded by UGC and one DST sponsored project as principal investigator. His research areas include Ultrasonic studies on polymers and blends, Nano fluids, Thermophysical properties of materials, Photocatalysis, Energy physics, Clouds, Educational technology
