About
My research interests are in inflammatory bowel disease and immunopathogenesis of inflammation. My current work is focused on immune cell plasticity, especially in dendritic cells, macrophages and T cells. I am actively involved in novel targeted therapies in inflammatory bowel disease and early discovery compounds. I am also involved in clinical research on novel tools to address quality of life such as PRISM and IBD disk. I am a member of the International Organization for Study of IBD (IOIBD) and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences. I am also a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences, UK. I am past associate editor of Gut, past editor in chief of Canadian Journal of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, current editor in chief of World Journal of Gastroenterology, associate editor of Therapeutic Advances in Gastroenterology and Specialist editor of British Medical Bulletin.
