Dr. Barun Kumar Thakur is an Associate Professor, Department of Economics at FLAME University, Pune India. Previously he has worked with Madras School of Economics, Indian school of Business and VAMNICOM, Pune. He did his Ph.D. from prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Mumbai and a master's in economics from University of Hyderabad. His research interests are mainly on Water Resource Economics, Environmental Economics, Non-Market Valuation and Agriculture and Resource Economics. His previous work has been published with Admistrative Sciences, Economics and Human Biology, Journal of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Development, Groundwater for Sustainable Development, Frontiers in Marine Science, Current Science, and Ecology, Economy and Society.
