About
I am a scientist, entrepreneur and educationalist.
My education and training has been across areas in life sciences - Fisheries sciences, Microbiology, Medicine, Human diseases (cancer and other hematological diseases) and Neurosciences.
I have an extensive experience working on zebrafish as an animal model for fundamental and translational research.
My core area of research and expertise is in translatomics - profiling translating mRNA captured from ribosomes in several paradigms. This information is closer to proteome that defines the form and function of cells, tissues and organism as a whole.
My research interest is in - Ribosome, mRNA translation and protein synthesis, which is a growing area of research that directly enables our understanding of protein synthesis that we know very little about. A great wealth of information in protein synthesis is hidden in the detailed process of mRNA translation at ribosomes, which when known completely to us can enable next revolution in biotech and pharma to engineer this process to our benefit.
