About
Ahmed Farghaly Mabied is a professor at the Physics Institute, NRC of Egypt, specializing in X-ray crystallography and materials science. He holds a Ph.D. (2012) in Physics of Materials Structure Science from Sokendai University, KEK, Japan. He has conducted a research visit to the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart, Germany. His research encompasses high-quality publications in a broad spectrum of crystallographically oriented studies utilizing X-ray diffraction for materials, including biomaterials, solid-state photoreactions, the correlation between material structure and physical properties, synchrotron radiation, molecular modeling, and their applications in materials science. In academia, Professor Mabied, a credentialed scholar, offers courses in fundamental and advanced physics, X-ray crystallography, and materials science. Dr. Mabied is an engaged participant in various international and national scientific organizations, such as the Lightsources for Africa, the Americas, Asia, and the Middle East Project (LAAAMP) in the United States, the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr), and the SESAME (Synchrotron-light for Experimental Science and Applications in the Middle East) Users' Committee (SUC) in Jordan. He is a vital member of the Egyptian National Committee of Crystallography. He participates in the National Network of Nuclear Science at ASRT.
