About

I am working as a HoD in the School of Mechanical Engineering. I have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in thermal engineering. My field of specialization is heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning design and thermal science. My PhD research work is in the field of solar energy application and optimisation. I have completed my postgraduate project, "Centralized Air-Conditioning Systems and Their Software Development for Cooling Load, Duct Design, and Cost Estimation,” with the help of the Carrier and ASHRAE Handbooks. I have published numbers of papers
in national and international journals and conferences.
Beyond my research experience, I have been fortunate to obtain a wide range of teaching experiences. As my curriculum vitae indicate, my teaching role has included rich experience as an academician as well as a good mentor. I have received awards and recognition in the academic as well as research fields. I will work hard to be the best teacher I can be. My teaching philosophy is to foster an environment that promotes: i) enthusiasm; ii) life-long learning; iii) connection to the real world; iv) organized study; v) student and teacher accountability and faith; and vi) confidence building. As a faculty member, I would be interested in applying my teaching principles to a wide range of undergraduates and post graduate courses in the general areas of Mechanical engineering like Engineering thermodynamics,Applied thermodynamics,internal combustion engineering, automobile
engineering, application of refrigeration principles, function of air-conditioning , design of heating ventilation air-conditioning ,heat transfer technology etc. The field of energy-efficient HVAC system design offers many opportunities in industries as well as for the development of interdisciplinary, cutting-edge courses.
