About
Dr. Mahendra Kumar Gourisaria earned his B.Com. (Hons.) degree from the Calcutta University and completed the Intermediate level of ICWAI from the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India, along with a DNIIT qualification from NIIT, Sahid Nagar, Bhubaneswar. He holds two postgraduate degrees: a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi, and an M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from KIIT Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Currently, Dr. Gourisaria serves as an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Engineering at KIIT Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar. With over 24 years of academic experience and more than 12 years of dedicated research experience, he has made significant contributions to the scientific community through the publication of over 300 research articles, book chapters, and papers in reputed international journals and conferences. His scholarly impact is reflected by more than 3,400 citations on Google Scholar, with an h-index of 29 and an i10-index of 78. His research interests encompass Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Mining, Soft Computing, and Internet and Web Technologies. He is a member of IAENG and UACEE and a Life Member of ISTE, CSI, and ISCA. In recognition of his outstanding research contributions, he received the Research Achievement Award from the International University Leadership and Innovation Awards (IUILA 2024) hosted by London Metropolitan University. He has also been recognized among the World's Top 5% Scientists in the 2025 SciRank Global Registry. Dr. Gourisaria has actively contributed to the academic and research ecosystem by serving on organizing committees of numerous international conferences and workshops, chairing technical sessions at prestigious conferences, and reviewing manuscripts for leading publishers and journals, including Springer, Hindawi, and several internationally reputed conferences.
