Dr. Dhiraj Sharma is serving as a faculty member at Punjabi University, Patiala, in the department of School of Management Studies. He holds three Post-graduate degrees in the area of Finance, Commerce and Business Administration respectively. A doctorate in the area of Banking Technology, he has supervised the successful completion of more than twenty PhD scholars. His Major Research Project on Internet Banking in North India was approved and financed by University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. He has fourteen books and more than a hundred articles/papers/chapters published to his credit in the journals/books/magazines/web-portals of national/international repute. He has independently developed many books for several institutions notably among them are: All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi; Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM), New Mumbai; Bangalore University, Bengaluru; Punjab University, Chandigarh.
Professionally, he is actively involved in teaching, writing, editing, and research across various domains of Business Management and Information Technology and personally working outside his academic comfort zone, he is a keen Birder; Nature & Wildlife Photographer; Realistic and Semi-Impressionist Painter. He has been actively involved in various Govt. and NGOs led initiatives for Bio-diversity, Birding and Butterfly counting, photographing and preservation.
