About

I am a Bioinformatician, Computational Biologist, and Academician with over 15 years of experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, and interdisciplinary life science research. My work integrates biology, computer science, statistics, and artificial intelligence to solve complex biological and biomedical problems through data-driven approaches.

Over the years, I have developed expertise in biological sequence analysis, comparative genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, structural bioinformatics, molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulations, virtual screening, network biology, and computer-aided drug discovery. I have extensive experience in the application of bioinformatics tools and databases for biomarker discovery, therapeutic target identification, and biological data interpretation.

My research interests focus on computational approaches for understanding human diseases, particularly cancer biology, microbiome research, toxicogenomics, environmental health, natural product-based drug discovery, and precision medicine. I am especially interested in integrating multi-omics datasets—including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and microbiomics—with artificial intelligence and machine learning to identify clinically relevant biomarkers and accelerate translational research.

As an academician, I have been actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in bioinformatics, molecular biology, genomics, proteomics, computational biology, and research methodology. I enjoy mentoring students and young researchers, designing innovative curricula, and promoting computational thinking in biological sciences. I have also organized and delivered workshops, training programs, and lectures on bioinformatics tools, AI applications in life sciences, and computational research methodologies.

My technical expertise includes:

• Biological databases (NCBI, EMBL-EBI, UniProt, PDB, KEGG, Ensembl, STRING, CTD and related resources)
• Sequence analysis, genome annotation, phylogenetics, and comparative genomics
• Protein structure prediction, homology modelling, molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulations, and binding free-energy analysis
• Functional genomics, transcriptome analysis, and pathway enrichment
• Network biology and systems biology
• Multi-omics data integration and biomarker discovery
• AI and machine learning applications in bioinformatics
• R, Python, Linux/Unix, Cytoscape, and bioinformatics software pipelines
• Scientific writing, research proposal development, and research data analysis

Throughout my career, I have collaborated across multiple disciplines to bridge computational science with biology and medicine. I strongly believe that the future of life sciences lies in the integration of high-throughput biological data, advanced computational methods, and artificial intelligence to develop innovative solutions for healthcare, agriculture, environmental sustainability, and biotechnology.

I am always interested in collaborating on research projects involving bioinformatics, computational biology, AI-driven biological data analysis, systems biology, omics technologies, and translational biomedical research. I welcome opportunities to collaborate with researchers, academic institutions, healthcare organizations, and industry partners working at the intersection of biology and data science.
