About
Vinod Kumar Yadav received the Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the Jabalpur Engineering College, Jabalpur, India, in 2015, the Master of Technology in Power Electronics and Drives from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, Orissa, India, in 2017, and the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, India, in 2023. He is currently working as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Electrical Power Engineering and Mechatronics at the Tallinn University of Technology. Prior to this, he served as a project scientist in the Department of Sustainable Energy Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, located in Kanpur, India. He also worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Government Engineering College Bikaner, Rajasthan, India. He also worked as a research associate at Delhi Technological University, Delhi, India, and Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, India. At Government Engineering College Bikaner, Rajasthan, India, he has worked as an Equity Action Plan (EAP) Coordinator, Grievances Redressal Officer, SWAYAM & SWAYAM PRABHA Classes Coordinator, Faculty Mentor for DST and Texas Instruments in India Innovation Challenge Design Contest 2019, Institute Internship Coordinator, and SPOC of ECB for Smart India Hackathon for 2019 & 2020, and IIC Innovation Ambassador for Engineering College Bikaner, GATE Training Classes Coordinator & Employability Skills Coordinator. He has authored 34 international publications, including journals and conferences. He has coordinated 12 FDPs, STCs, and webinars at ECB. & delivered 6 expert talks. He is the recipient of the Best Poster Award at 3rd International Conference on “Sustainable Energy and Future Electric Transportation” (SEFET-2023) and the best paper award in the 9th IEEE Uttar Pradesh Section International Conference on Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Engineering, 2022 (UPCON-20220), the Best Paper Award in the International Conference on Emerging Trends in Microelectronics, Communication, and Intelligent Systems at the School of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, MIT Academy of Engineering, Alandi, Pune, and the Best Paper Award in the 5th Electric Power and Renewable Energy Conference (EPREC-2024) at NIT Jamshedpur, India.
His research interests include AC-DC PFC converters, LED driver circuits, high-gain boost converters, EV chargers, hydrogen fuel technology, and soft switching.
