Dr. Biswajeet Acharya is an Assistant Professor at GITAM School of Pharmacy, Vishakhapatnam with expertise in ethnopharmacology, toxicology, and bamboo sciences. He holds a gold medal in M.Pharm from Roland Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and completed his PhD at Centurion University, focusing on the teratogenic effects of medicinal plants in Western Odisha. His research emphasizes the pharmacological and nutritional value of bamboo species, particularly Bambusa vulgaris, in traditional medicine for women's health. He has authored several publications highlighting the therapeutic potential of indigenous plants.
