About
This is Sanjeev Kumar, currently working as a project research scientist in an ICMR-funded project at AIIMS. This project involves the study of adult hippocampal neurogenesis in post-mortem human brain. I have hands-on experience in histopathology, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. In future, I want to explore the role of Bioinspired nanoformulation in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases/wound healing.
My Ph.D. project title is “Study of the nanostructured surface of the insect wing for fabrication of novel bioinspired material having bactericidal and wound-healing properties”. During the course of my studies, I learned some basic chemical characterization techniques and microscopy techniques. I have done animal handling (Swiss mouse) work during my MS (Pharmacology & Toxicology) research. I have also published some papers, which are listed. Apart from my Ph.D. thesis work, I have also done some interdisciplinary research work. My Ph.D. work dealt with the development of bioinspired material (inspired by insect wings). I have done nanoparticle synthesis and characterization. I have an interdisciplinary perspective due to my bachelor's and master's degrees in pharmaceutical science, followed by Ph.D. in life science. I have 14 months of experience working with the state Food and Drug Administration for the quality control of drugs in the Raipur District of Chhattisgarh state. I am deeply interested in research and academia. I have experience in the field of Neuroscience, Pharmacology, and biomaterial development for medical need.
