About
Presently, I am working as an Associate Professor in the Aerospace Engineering Department of IIT Kharagpur. I completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from IIEST Shibpur; MS from IIT Madras, and Ph.D. From IIT Kharagpur. I have worked with the Indian Space Research Organization and General Electric, for a total of five years, in the area of design and analysis of composite structures. I have also worked as an Assistant Professor at IIT Mandi and IIT Dhanbad, before joining IIT Kharagpur. In my research career, I have acquired expertise in the domain of computational mechanics, with more than 30 research publications in reputed international journals. My research interests lie primarily in the use of computational techniques to address some underlying questions of material modeling and structural design. Presently, I am working on broad areas of research topics such as vibration analysis, dynamic stiffness method, impact behaviour of structures, auxetic metamaterials, composites and functionally graded materials, stability of structures, and structural optimization.
